I started studying because I wanted to communicate in Japanese.
I took the JPT because I wanted to measure my ability beyond JLPT N1 and because I thought it would be advantageous for higher education and work. When I actually took the test, I thought it would measure my Japanese communication skills.
I am studying Japanese for 3 hours a day, but I found that my ability to understand the content of conversations is weak, so I would like to study more from now on.

(THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA・Employee)
I like Japanese subcultures, so I started studying Japanese when I took a Japanese class at a university in the United States.
I think JPT is good because there are no failures and you can see how far you can go. When I actually took the exam, there were a lot of questions and I didn't have enough time, but I thought it was a well-balanced exam.
My dream is to get permanent residency in Japan and open my own restaurant, so I will read a lot, memorize a lot of kanji, and study Japanese.

I started studying Japanese because I wanted to be able to read kanji.
I took the JPT because I wanted to know my current level of Japanese, but I thought it would be a good reference for me to challenge myself and study Japanese. I think it would be good to receive it in other prefectures as well.
After taking the exam, I felt that my ability to read sentences and read and write kanji was weak, so from now on, I would like to memorize kanji little by little every day.

Since I was a child, I have liked Japanese animation, so I decided to study Japanese. My goal is to enter graduate school at Hokkaido University.
Compared to other Japanese proficiency tests, I think the JPT has more tests. After taking the exam, I thought that I could measure JLPT N1 or higher ability and Japanese communication skills.
I think my grammar and honorifics are weak, so I would like to study Japanese by reading books.

I am a Japanese-Brazilian and have been in Japan for 31 years.
I took the JPT because I wanted to measure my ability beyond N1 of the JLPT and to know my current level of Japanese. After taking the test, I found that I lacked the ability to respond appropriately to questions, read and write kanji, and read sentences.
I hope I will be able to speak Japanese properly!

I took the JPT because I thought it would measure my Japanese communication skills and I wanted to know my current level of Japanese. Compared to other Japanese language certification tests, I think it is better that the results are immediately available.
After taking the test, I thought that my grammar, ability to understand the content of conversations, and ability to read sentences were weak, so I would like to study Japanese in the online classroom from now on.

I took the JPT because I wanted to know my current level of Japanese. Compared to other Japanese language certification tests, there is no pass/fail and it is good to know your level.
After taking the test, I thought I was weak in honorifics, the ability to understand the content of conversations, and reading and writing kanji, so I would like to focus on the areas where I am lacking and study more.

Edirisingha Mudalige Akane Devmi
(SRI LANKA・Student)
I started studying Japanese because I wanted to find a job in Japan.
I took the JPT because I thought it would give me an advantage in furthering my education and finding a job in Japan. Compared to other Japanese language certification tests, I think the JPT is better because it has questions tailored to society. After taking the test, I realized that I am weak in keigo (honorific expressions).
I want to study difficult things from now on and enter and graduate from a university of my choice!
